I have been doing the same work for almost 25 years now, providing technical support in one manner or another for one company or another. Some people are fine with that and others, not so much. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy what I do. I am the tinkering type, the one that wants to know how something works type, the take-it-apart-and-make-it-do-something-else type, the fix it when it does not work type. I get satisfaction from making someone’s day better by helping them out.
But it is over 20 years doing the same thing, reluctant to change. Why, because it can be terrifying. But that was then, and this is now. So I am starting here. I burned my passions to the ground, so I can build them up again. Here and now is where you will be able to go to read about my journey in teaching myself to develop for the web. Things I think are interesting and things I had to figure out. The things, good and bad. The things, “oh, that’s cool” and the things, “wtf?”.
In the words of Ze Frank…. let’s start this shit up, because life isn’t just a sequence of waiting for things to be done… FILDI
